Bukit Cermin (USJ)Downhill Race

Bukit Cermin has always been my favorite place to ride DH because it is a fun track which I feel is not too dangerous for an old gun like me. However, this will be the last race there because just like many other tracks,development is creeping in andthe ownerintends to develop the area and build bungalows. Maybe they will keep the track and build bungalows around it. Dream on.

The weather was hot but slight rain the nightbefore made the track conditions perfect, not too loose, not too muddy. The track has been improved with a longer rock garden, another gap jump and a few tight swithbacks. I heard many racers lost time at the rock garden.

Our boys Shahrin Amir and Lew Tze Siong won 2nd Place and 3rd Place respectively in the expert category. Amir Azhar was 6th Place.

 

 

SINGAPORE BIKE TRIAL CHAMPIONSHIP (ROUND4)

Congratulation to FOLKER/trailridermad.com sponsored rider Wan Arisfor 1st Place ranking (OPEN Category) at the recent SINGAPORE BIKE TRIAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, (Pasir Ris Townpark) on 6th December 2009. Although bike trial is almost unheard of here, Malaysia has some talented bike trial riders.

 

 

RACE REPORT

SEPANG XC RACE WITH 4X PREVIEW RACE

DATE : 1st Nov 2009

We did not find much info about this race. At first we were told it was canceled.

 

Anyway the race was on. The race started at about 11 am, only 40 plus riders participated but i noticed sponsors from On the Road magazine, Big Adam Media, Milo etc which is good. The race was held at the SIC motocross track so track is not really suited for MTB. Dont expect big jumps more like rolling.

 

Folker rider, Amir Azhar got 5th place in the xc race. Congratulations to Amir on his podium placing.Elde from ROAM was first placed for 4X and the Kedah Street Riders also put up a good show.

 

Looking forward to more 4x and xc races in the future. Maybe SIC can do a dedicated 4x track using the same starting point as the motorcross one. Maybe.

RACE REPORT

Congratulation to our team rider Shahrin Amir for winning Second place in the elite category of the recent KIARA MTB Carnival Race. He improved from his third place position last year and is the fastest MALAYSIAN rider..GO AMIR..
